Have respect for for disabled bays

GEORGE NEWS - In spite of many educational articles in the media and endless pleas from the South African Disability Alliance and other organisations, some drivers still park illegally on disability parking bays reserved for those in wheelchairs or people with mobility problems.

If you are entitled to make use of a disabled parking bay, you need to have a sticker to that effect displayed in your windscreen.

With Casual Day coming up on 7 September and all South Africans rallying together to raise funds for those with disabilities, we show two vehicles recently spotted by George Herald readers which were illegally parked on disabled parking bays.


This vehicle was snapped by a reader on Saturday 28 July at the Garden Route Mall.
