GEORGE NEWS - The Garden Route Dam started overflowing this morning, 28 September.
According to the rainfall figures provided by the South African Weather Service, a total of 97mm was measured at Witfontein over the long weekend from 24 to 26 September, and 76,8mm at George Airport over the same period.
The Garden Route Dam level as supplied by George Municipality on 27 September, is as follows:
- Percentage storage at new raised dam wall height 97,63
- Rainfall for the previous 7 days 99mm (Measured up to and including 26 September 2023)
