GEORGE NEWS - Tragedy struck in Le Vallia last night, Thursday 6 May, when the bodies of a couple were discovered by their son at their home in Fairway Crescent.
According to Southern Cape police spokesperson, Capt Malcolm Pojie, the bodies of the husband (59) and his wife (61) were found in their bedroom by their son when he returned home at approximately 19:00.
“Preliminary investigation suggests that the couple were last seen alive by their son when he left their home in George at about 17:40 earlier that day. When he arrived home he discovered their bodies in the bedroom. Both had wounds to the head,” Pojie said.
Police also found a firearm in the room which has been sent for ballistic tests. The exact cause of death will be determined by an autopsy which will in all probability be conducted today.
“Circumstances surrounding the incident are under investigation,” said Pojie.
