GEORGE NEWS - At just 11 years old, Sloan Brent has already developed a passion for climbing and endurance challenges.
His latest achievement saw him conquer the equivalent of a quarter of Mt Everest.
With his dad’s help, Sloan completed an official quarter Everest on 30 September as part of MountCo VERT Month.
The challenge required him to climb a total elevation of 2 212m, a quarter of Mt Everest’s 8 848m height, by repeatedly ascending a hill or mountain.
It is not Sloan’s first significant climbing achievement. Last year, he completed the George Cross climb eight times.
“His achievement is another milestone in his growing love for the mountains and endurance sport, proving that big goals can start at any age,” said his mother, Bianca.
