Update
GEORGE NEWS FLASH - Sentencing of the man in his 30s, who was found guilty of nearly severing a boy's (2) penis in December 2017, was postponed in the Thembalethu Regional Court today.
Due to other commitments the accused's attorney was not available and the case was rolled over until tomorrow, 30 April.
The accused was arrested shortly after the incident and has been in custody since.
The mother of the toddler woke up when she heard her child screaming. A blood stained pair of scissors was found on the scene.
The boy was treated in the Red Cross Children's hospital after the incident on 21 December. He was discharged on 3 January 2018.
