ENTERTAINMENT NEWS - The sounds of Christmas will soon fill the Garden Route as local community music group Carpe Musicam! prepares for a busy festive season, with five performances scheduled between 29 November and 13 December.
The celebrations kick off on Sunday 29 November at the Dias Maritime Museum in Mossel Bay, where the Pops Band will present Sounds of the Season, a lively 90-minute programme featuring festive favourites in a variety of musical styles.
Proceeds will benefit the Great Brak River Conservancy.
The Carpe Musicam Pops Band will present another show at Kingswood Golf Estate in George on 4 December, featuring carol singing with “Barefoot” Bea Esterhuizen.
The Concert Orchestra and Choir will then take centre stage with O Holy Night, a programme offering a more traditional celebration of Christmas music, alongside a few light-hearted surprises.
The first performance takes place in Sedgefield on Sunday 6 December at 15:30, followed by a concert at Hoërskool Outeniqua in George on Friday 11 December at 19:00.
The festive programme concludes at the Mossel Bay Town Hall on Sunday 13 December at 18:00.
Families are invited to celebrate the season with live music performed by talented local musicians.
