International AIDS Candelight Memorial day
George Municipality hosted a community event on Wednesday morning at the Parkdene Community Hall to mark the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial Day which fell on Sunday 17 May. This annual mobilization campaign has been taking place annually since 1983, led by community organisations globally, and is coordinated by the Global Network of People Living with HIV (GNP). This year's theme is 'supporting the future'.
