GEORGE SWIMMING NEWS - Four swimmers, all from Fish Eagles Aquatics Club in George, excelled at the 2018 Eastern Province swimming championship which was held at the Newton Park pool in Port Elizabeth.
Winning 17 medals between them, these youngsters certainly made everyone take notice of swimming talent in the smaller regions.
Luard Elstadt (14) won three gold and three silver medals, Stefan Steyn (12) won five gold and one silver medal, Malan Lehnberg (12) won two bronze medals and Jan-Hendrik van Rooyen (12) won two silver and one bronze medal.

Elstadt and Steyn qualified for the SA National Junior Swimming Championships, which will be held in Durban in March, and Van Rooyen and Lehnberg qualified for the Level 3 SSA Regional Gala which will be held in Cape Town during the same period.
