The 22-year-old, arrested in Miami last week after an incident at a hotel, was omitted from the squad after a dispute.
Tomic had claimed Australian tennis's governing body did not support him.
But Tennis Australia want to set up a meeting to "address" issues and then "welcome him back into Davis Cup".
Tennis Australia president Steve Healy said: "We think Tomic's criticisms are unjustified - he needs to hear that. He needs to get some detail and we want to bring him back into the fold.
