NETBALL NEWS - For the first time in the history of the annual Easter Festival, soccer was not the only sport on the menu.
This year's Woz' uzoba babona Easter Tournament saw some fierce competition on the netball field as well, with Sunrise Netball Club and Rising Stars Netball Club facing off in the final on Monday afternoon, 10 April at the netball court at the Thembalethu Stadium.
Sunrise played a sharp game with Melokuhle Vakele and Asive Pere delivering outstanding defence against the powerful Rising Stars players Similise Solani and Avuyile Femele.
In a nail-biting clash, Sunrise managed to clip Rising Stars with one point, the final score being 29-28.
