GEORGE BOWLING NEWS - The George Bowling Club recently held its Senior Singles Championship.
The semi-finals and finals were held on Thursday 3 June.
In an exciting final between Hester Liebenberg and Marthie Pringle, Hester got off to a good start, but Marthie managed to claw her way back. It proved a little too late however, with Hester picking up a four with her last bowl and taking the title.
In the men's final, it was Andries Janse van Rensburg who beat Rob Markham in the final.
George Bowling Club congratulates these two fine champions.
The next club championship is the Men's and Ladies Club pairs, which kicks off on 27 June, when the round robin phase will start.
