The Italian cut the deficit to 43 points following his runner-up finish in San Marino, but with just five rounds left of the 2016 season, the Doctor is in a race against time.
"The only thing that interests me now is to do good races," the 37-year-old told crash.net.
"In Aragon, we will have to work well from day one, as we have been doing this entire season.
"This circuit has fast corners and hard braking, so it will be important to have a good bike, with a perfect set-up. I really like the track and, even if it is not one of my favourites, we will try to do our best."
Rossi looked to be headed for his second win of the season at his home GP but was caught by a flying Dani Pedrosa on his Honda. Nonetheless, Rossi considered his second-place a good result.
"Even though I wanted to win in Misano, I can say that it was a good race anyway," said the Yamaha rider.
