GARDEN ROUTE NEWS - A local business owner has plenty of reason to celebrate after taking home two top awards at the Land of the Low 2026 automotive and lifestyle festival in Plettenberg Bay on 29 August.

Joey Ramalho, a local entrepreneur and passionate classic car enthusiast, proudly showcased his distinctive Creamsoda Bug at the event, where it caught the attention of the judges and ultimately earned him both the Best of Show and Best Classic awards.

The achievement was a special family moment for Joey, who was joined at the event by his son, Cody Ramalho. The pair celebrated the impressive result together following the prize-giving.

Land of the Low brought automotive enthusiasts from across the region together for a day celebrating custom builds, classic cars and the creativity and passion behind them.

The event also featured music, food and lifestyle entertainment, creating a vibrant atmosphere for both car enthusiasts and the wider community.

For Joey, the event proved to be a memorable one, with his Creamsoda Bug taking centre stage and earning two prestigious accolades.
