Gymnasts qualify for nationals

GYMNASTICS NEWS - Nine gymnasts of Dolphins Gymnastics Club represented Eden at the level 4+ Western Cape Trials where eight of them qualified to represent the Western Cape team at the nationals to be held in October.

Danielle Du Plessis scooped the gold medal on vault for the 7- to 9-year-old level 4 group and Ané Vreken the silver medal on beam for the 13-year-old level 6 group.

The girls who made the Western Cape team are as follows:

Level 4 age 7-9: Danielle du Plessis and Nova Tredoux
Level 4 age 10: Zola Plaatjies and Annebel Vreken
Level 4 age 11: Kemilke van Zyl
Level 5 age 7-10: Emily Hampson
Level 6 age 13: Ané Vreken and Limari Smit

Siba Ngcumbe proudly represented Eden in the level 5 12-year-old group, and just missed making the team. Keep an eye on this girl though, she is made for great things in gymnastics.
