The 5km was won by Godwin Heyns in a brilliant time of 15:34, while the talented Britney-Ann Meyer was the winner in the ladies category in a time of 19 minutes.
The 10km was won by Alfonzo Pieterse, from the Nedbank Running Club, in a time of 32:40, with the veteran athlete Zuzile
Ntshiniyabo (Outeniqua) in second place with a time of 34:15 and also the first ve-teran. In third place was another veteran
athlete Principal Fana in a temporary license in 35:04.
In the ladies category the winner was another talented junior runner Merida Leen, from Mossel Bay Harriers, in a time of 38:05. Melissa van Rensburg (Nedbank) 38:56 was second and Charmaine Lamprecht (Nedbank) 42:52 third.
Leen was also the first junior runner while Rayline Konstabel (Nedbank) was the first junior man in 35:36. The veteran women's category was won by Johanna Claassen (Nedbank) in 47:08.
In the master category Marie Wolmarans (Nedbank) won in 45:02 while the men's winner was Selwyn Losper (Mossel Bay) in 36:05. In the grandmaster category the winners was Andre Niemand (Hartenbos) 46:22 and Rhenia Niemand (Hartenbos) 1:04:55. The great grand master category was won by Les Stuart (Knysna) in 48:38, while Jean Merrills (Sedgefield) took honours in the women's category.
The walking category was won by Anel Oosthuizen, from UJ, in a brilliant time of 48:38 (Nedbank). The men's category was won by Elwich van Wyk (Outeniqua) in 54:04.
