GEORGE NEWS - Christian Hattingh, from the Royal Swimming Academy in George, won a gold medal in the junior super sprint (age 16-17) at the SA national triathlon championships held in Maselspoort, Bloemfontein.
Christian completed the 750m swim, 20k cycle and 5km run in a time of 01:02:24 to take gold.
Other great performances by Royal triathletes came from Karli Lötter (silver) and Lomé Gouws (bronze), as well as Annabelle McEwan (7th) and Jan-Hendrik van Rooyen (8th). These triathletes all train under coach Mimette Salter at Royal Swimming Academy.
