GEORGE NEWS - Four members from Goju Ryo clubs in the Southern Cape took part in the seventh World Goju Ryu Karate Federation Tournament (WGKF) hosted in Furstenveld, Austria last weekend.
They were part of a South African team that were well represented by athletes from various provinces.
Marina Graupe took honours in kumite fighting and bronze in kata while Carla Gerber received bronze in kata.
Both Angelo Prins and Lo-Anne Oosthuizen were eliminated in their quarter-final rounds. The next WGKF World Tournament will be Pune, India.
