GEORGE NEWS - The George Local Netball League kicked off last weekend at the Imizamo Yethu High School netball courts.
The 12 teams registered in the league are:

- Black Squad (George)
- Simunye (George)
- Rising Star (George)
- Bangalos (George)
- Young Teenagers (George)
- Sea Birds (Hoekwil)
- Swallows (Hoekwil)
Swallows defeated Peace Makers 14-11 during the first game, with Nazlee Scheepers Swallows' star player.
Nondumiso Masimini and Sammy Dyantyi of Bangalos were on fire during their game against Moonlight, which Bangalos won 14-13.
