A total of 24 of the best players from the region took part and together they played 201 games on a round robin basis. Men and women competed against each other.
Williams advanced to the finals after beating Heini Pedro 3-2 in the first semifinal, which was characterised by superb ball rallies. He then smashed Stolls 3-0 in straight sets.
In the second semifinal Stolls beat club mate Pierre Swanepoel 3-2 in a tight 5-set match before tackling Williams in the final.
The next table tennis competition will be in the second half of October against a visiting team from Port Elizabeth.
