GEORGE FOOTBALL NEWS - The six-year-old soccer team Raul Stars from Thembalethu will represent George in the Safa Eden local football association (LFA) regional playoffs.
The playoffs will kick off on Friday 13 August and the last games will be played on Sunday 15 August in Plettenberg Bay.
This is the first time that the youthful side will be playing in the regional playoffs since the club was founded by Nyameko Ntshingwa in 2015. The other regional LFA winners are Buruch's (Mossel Bay), Red Eagles (Knysna), Spring Roses (Oudtshoorn), Zama Zama (Riversdale).
The Plettenberg Bay winners still have to be determined as their last games for the league have not been played yet.
The top two teams will be promoted to the Safa Eden Regional League for the 2021/2022 season.
Raul Stars coach Nyameko Ntshingwa urges the players' parents to support their children's quest for the team to be promoted to the next level.
