GEORGE NEWS - Raul Stars secured a 3 - 0 win over Tigers in a Promotional/Development League match on Saturday afternoon, 7 September.
Wandile Ntlanti scored twice, and Lona Makwena added a third goal, earning the Stars their second victory after 23 fixtures. Both teams are currently near the bottom of the league table, with Stars in the second to last position.
Stars dominated early, controlling the midfield and pressuring Tigers, who struggled to cope with their pace.
A penalty awarded for a foul in the box gave Ntlanti the chance to score his first goal, confidently converting from the spot to put his team ahead 1-0 at halftime.
The second half saw Stars maintain their dominance. Ntlanti doubled the lead with a well-placed shot, and despite Tigers' attempts to fight back, Raul Stars' defense held firm. In the final moments, Makwena sealed the win with a strike from outside the box, making it 3-0.
Tigers fought hard but failed to break through Stars' defense. The victory gives Raul Stars much-needed points in their campaign.
