GEORGE NEWS - A marvellous goal from Anele "Jali" Pungwana gave Paris United a 1-0 victory against Young Pirates on Sunday afternoon, 21 November, at the Lawaaikamp Stadium.
The only goal of the game was netted during the first 45 minutes. Both teams are fighting their way closer to the top eight position on the Safa Eden Regional League log.
Paris United impressed with silky touches combining their passes. Their goal was netted after a big mistake from Young Pirates goalkeeper Khanyani Nobhakada, who gave away a soft set piece inside the box.
A high tempo distinguished the second half with Young Pirates hunting for the equalising goal. However, both teams missed their opportunities and the game ended 1-0.
