FOOTBALL NEWS - The Eden Region will be hosting the Western Cape ABC Kay Motsepe u.19 schools cup this Saturday, 17 September, at Nelson Mandela University in George.
Six regional winners will be battling it out for the top two spots to qualify for the national finals in Pretoria next month.
Jonga High from Thembalethu will be representing the Eden region and Luckhoff High will represent Cape Winelands.
The other four regions, Cape Town Metro, Central Karoo, West Coast and Overberg, still need to play their final games to qualify.
Another Jonga High learner, the school's goalkeeper Asemahle Mgwetyana (16), recently helped Simunye to reach the third division play-offs in the ABC Motsepe League in Paarl, but his team failed team to qualify.
