GEORGE NEWS - The Thembalethu team Heaven Stars FC ended their season on a high note when they punished Black Cats 3-1 in a Geolfa League match on Saturday afternoon, 27 July at the Lawaaikamp Stadium.
Goal scorers for Heaven Stars were Tsepo Ncapayi (brace) and Lubenam Wana, and Bukho Haas netted the solitary goal for Black Cats.
Both teams ended their 2023/24 season in the bottom half of the log table.
The first half saw Black Cats building their passes from the centre of the field, leading to their only goal from Bukho Haas. Lubenam Wana of Heaven Stars levelled the score with a penalty kick, beating Black Cats goalkeeper Liwonga Siko.
With the score even on 1-1, the second half saw more action. After a failed attempt by Dinilethu Hermans of Black Cats, Tsepo Ncapayi scored two more goals for Heavn Stars, cementing their victory.
