Fancourt offers three golf courses, all designed by the legendary Gary Player. Unfortunately the Links Course is reserved for members and hotel guests only, but the Montagu Course and the Outeniqua Course are open to the public.

George Golf Club

The historic George Golf Club is located on CJ Langenhoven Street and is very popular with the local golfers. It welcomes visitors every day except Saturdays and Wednesday afternoons. The George Golf Club course is a par 72.

Kingswood Golf Estate

The ladies will particularly enjoy Kingswood Golf Estate - a course designed by Sally Little. This golf course is situated between Fancourt and George Golf Club and has a variety of tee-off positions. It is also a par 72.

Oubaai Golf Course

This signature course designed by Ernie Els has to be one of the most scenic courses in the world. On one side you have the Indian ocean and on the other the Outeniqua mountains. The par 72 golf course in George is open to the public.

Short courses:

Glenwood short golf course

This short course is rated as one of the best short golf courses in South Africa. The course is a 9-hole pitch & putt course (mashy course) with par 72 and a length of 3 001 meters. Due to the different boxes for teeing off at each hole, the course can also be played as an 18-hole course. It's relatively short, with fairways measuring between 90 and 292 meters.

Three Chameleons short golf course

One of the best short courses in and around George, 3 Chameleons offers a unique opportunity for beginners and advanced players to enjoy a quick game, to meet new people and have a great time. The elevated club house where breakfast, light meals and wood fired pizza are served has Wifi. The extensively stocked bar boasts local beer on tap and a big-screen TVs.
