GEORGE NEWS - An on-form Fast Eleven team beat All Stars 3-2 in a thrilling Geolfa League encounter on Saturday afternoon, 25 May at Thembalethu Stadium.
Nkosiyethu Seyibokwe and Mkhanyisi Manciya (brace) contributed the three goals for Fast Eleven and All Stars' points were scored by Bonginkosi Mlungu and Athenkosi Mtshambela.
With 38 points, Fast Eleven is currently in second position on the log with their sights set on top position. They have played 19 fixtures with 12 victories, two draws and five defeats.
The Zone 9 team All Stars scored the first goal within the first two minutes of the game with Bonginkosi Mlungu beating Fast Eleven goalkeeper Mihlali Siko. Fast Eleven's target man Nkosiyethu Seyibokwe missed his first chance when a powerful header went wide.
Fast Eleven kept on pushing and received a set piece, but the shot went over the bar.
All Stars played an offensive move going into the box and doubled their score when Athenkosi Mtshambela netted a goal. Fast Eleven were granted a set piece outside the box but the ball was brilliantly saved by All Stars goalkeeper Zola Choli, blocking Sihle Myana's first chance.
Fast Eleven was trailing 2-0 into the break.
The second half saw both teams looking very smart on the attack with Fast Eleven still hunting for their first goal. Fast Eleven received a penalty after a foul inside the box and Nkosiyethu Seyibokwe scored, making it 2-1.
Fast Eleven's wings put pressure on All Stars' back line, resulting in Mkhanyisi Manciya levelling the score on 2-2. With both teams pushing for the winning goal during the last minutes of the game, Mkhanyisi Manciya netted the third goal for Fast Eleven.
