GEORGE NEWS - The George Local Football Association (Geolfa) Build It Juniors Tournament kicked off last Friday, 1 April, at the Lawaaikamp Stadium, with the grand finale to be played on Sunday 9 April.
The Build It soccer festival is one of the largest junior soccer tournaments that develops soccer across the country.
Three age groups were considered for the festival. Teams participating in the u. 11 class are George Vultures, Heaven Stars, Vista, Young Killers, Future Stars, Silver Stars, Black Cats, Shukela, Burning Fire, Western Tigers and France United.
The u. 13 boys teams are All Stars, United Spurs, Silver Stars, Young Masters, France United, Precision Sport Academy, Young Killers, Heaven Stars, Paris United, Blanco United, Blue Hunters, Black Cats, Vista, Western Tigers, Burning Fire and George Celtics.
Lastly, the u.15 teams are Shukela, Vista, Young Killers, George Celtics, Blue Hunters, Burning Fire, Paris United, George Vultures, All Stars, United Spurs, Blanco United, Raul Stars, Silver Stars, Future Stars, France United, Western Tigers, Young Masters, Black Cats and Precision Sport Academy.
On Friday 1 April, Burning Fire u.13 defeated Young Killers 3-1 and Black Cats u.13 won their game against Young Masters 2-1.
