GEORGE NEWS - An on-form Abahlali FC reached a 2-2 draw against Vista FC in a tough Geolfa League game on Saturday afternoon, 29 June at the Lawaaikamp Stadium. With 48 points, Abahlali is in third position on the Geolfa League log table.
They have have played 25 games with 14 victories, six draws and three losses. In contrast, former Geolfa League champion Vista FC is battling to reach the top eight on the log.
Abahlali FC kicked off with a forward move on the left side of the field.
Both teams were playing offensive football, going forward into the box and the only goal of the first half was scored by Ndyebo Ngcwangu of Abahlali.
Soon into the second half, Vista took the game from Abahlali, managing to break through with Simamkele Renele scoring the equalising goal.
Endinako Sishuba scored the second goal for Abahlali, putting them in the lead 2-1.
Lutho Jonga of Vista pulled off their equalising goal after some determined driving play. Vista delivered excellent work on the flanks trying to score the winning goal but had no further success.
