CRICKET NEWS - SWD had a disappointing return to the CSA Rural competition when the national tournament for coastal provinces was hosted in George the past week. The local team won only one of their six matches.
Boland, Eastern Province Grahamstown, Border Villages and Border Aloes were the four teams that qualified for the top eight tournament that will be hosted in Kimberley in March 2020.

Boland beat South Western Districts by 4 wickets: SWD (182/7 in 50 overs): Randy Wessel 73*, Shane Smith 3/15. BOLAND (183/6 in 41,2 overs): Ruben Minnaar 74, Devon Smith 41*, Hugh Minnies 3/24.
Border Aloes beat SWD by 2 wickets:
