GEORGE NEWS - SWD Cricket (SWDC) hosted a very successful KFC provincial mini-cricket seminar in Oudtshoorn on saturday 28 September. It was attended by 85 delegates, including the manager of mass participation at Cricket South Africa, Buhle Vaphi.
Representatives and coaches from all regional structures including Central Karoo, Plett/Bitou, Knysna, George, Mossel Bay, Hessequa, Kannaland, Dysselsdorp and Oudtshoorn were present.
The guest speaker at the seminar was SWDC board member Adv Michelle Weyers, who addressed the theme of the seminar, 'Building the Future'.
The topics for discussion included the CSA KFC Mini Cricket strategy, feedback from the national seminar, an activation plan by Playmakers on behalf of the sponsors and a 'coaching the coaches' session.
