GARDEN ROUTE CRICKET NEWS - Pioneers (254 all out) recorded an impressive 93-runs victory against the log leaders, Union Stars (165 all out), during last weekend's Premier League action.
Jean du Plessis (107), with a well-played century, was the hero for the men from Plettenberg Bay.
George (92/2) was too strong for Mossel Bay (90 all out), defeating them by eight wickets. Harlequins (177 all out) consolidated their third place on the log with a bonus point 101-runs victory against Ramblers (67 all out).
On Sunday, Union Stars 75/2 made up for their defeat on Saturday when they thumped Knysna Cavaliers (74 all out) by eight wickets. They only needed 14,1 overs to reach the winning target. SWD pace bowler Renaldo Meyer (6/19) was in great form for Union Stars.
