GEORGE CRICKET NEWS - George Cricket Club, the SWD Twenty20 champions, had a very disappointing attempt at qualifying for the Cricket South Africa Multiply T20 Community Cup when they were comprehensively outplayed in the qualifying matches that took place on Saturday.
George, who fielded a competitive team, was full of confidence but they lost badly against both Cape Town CC (Western Province), by 59 runs, and Robertson CC (Boland), by 71 runs.
Eventually the hosts of the day, Robertson, were the side that ended the play-offs undefeated, and will represent the Western Cape at this prestigious event.
