SOUHERN CAPE NEWS - The SWDC Coaching Department will be conducting a Level I Cricket Coaching Course for all interested cricket coaches, beginning on 12 May at the ETA Offices and Glenwood House Indoor Centre.
All coaches who are currently coaching hardball cricket from u.9 to club cricket, and any club cricketer who is registered with a club qualifies to attend the course and we encourage coaches, especially those at schools to attend the course which will be presented by Garry Hampson (SWDC Coaching Manager, Level IV Coach), as well as guest Level II and III coaches.
The following CSA stipulations will apply:
- candidates must be at least 18 years of age
- have a sound understanding of the game or be in possession of a previous Level I certificate issued prior to 2005.
- they will be required to obtain a minimum of 80% in the pre-course test (written on 12 May at the registration session) and access to a PC is advisable.
- NOTE: there is a refundable R250 registration fee for the course (payable on 12 May – direct deposit or cash) which will be refunded to coaches on attendance off all sessions and completion of the exam and practical (pass or fail).
- Please ensure you are able to attend and meet all requirements prior to the commencement of the course.
- Each candidate is to complete the registration form (download from SWD website http://www.swdcricket.co.za/cricket/coaching) and these with a photocopied id book must be sent to the SWDC Coaching Department by 12pm, Monday 11 May via email to ghampo@swdcricket.co.za) or fax 044 272 6294.
