GEORGE NEWS - Four players from the Six Gun Grill Garden Route Badgers are among the finalists for the Cricket South Africa annual awards that will take place on 5 September in Midrand.
The four nominees are Blayde Capell, Julia Hoal, Tabitha la Grange and Tazmin Brits.
The awards, which will be broadcast on SuperSport, will honour South Africa’s top male and female cricketers across several categories, recognising the exceptional talent and dedication displayed throughout the season.
The nominees were selected by a distinguished panel of judges, including Crystal Arnold, Firdose Moonda, Patrick Moroney, Ashwell Prince and Khanyiso Tshwaku, with statistical input from Andrew Samson.
Blayde Capell, the top runs scorer in the division 2 four-day competition, is one of five nominees for player of the season in this category.
Julia Hoal and Tabitha la Grange are nominees in the Women’s Domestic Newcomer of the Season category.
Tazmin Brits has been nominated in the Women’s Division 1 one-day and T20 category player of the season. She won both awards last season.
