CRICKET NEWS - The Bridgton Hub has retained their title as the SWD Boys Switch Schools SA 20 champions with a 10-run victory against Outeniqua High in the final at the Recreation Ground Cricket Stadium on 12 November.
Bridgton, who batted first, posted 130/8 in their allotted 20 overs, with Ducayne Plaatjies (43) the top runs scorer.
Outeniqua High was dismissed for 120 with one ball to spare, with Lastio Williams (3/17), Ducayne Plaatjies (2/12) and Sherwin Plaatjies (2/22) the pick of the bowlers.
Bridgton Hub, together with the winners of Western Province and Boland, will now lock horns in Paarl in January to determine the Western Cape winners.
