ATHLETICS NEWS - Caster Semenya was a class apart as she claimed gold in the women’s 1500m at the Commonwealth Games on Tuesday.
South Africa’s queen of the track comfortably disposed of all her competitors to stop the clock at 4:00.72, which represents a Games record.
More impressively, the event is not even Semenya’s speciality.
Clearly banking on her superior ability to finish races, the 27-year-old didn’t overexert herself for most of the race, instead languishing in fourth or fifth to set herself up for a flourish.
