GEORGE ATHLETICS NEWS - The annual Pacaltsdorp Night Race, a sporting and fun event for the whole family, will again be taking place on 26 December.
The annual event, hosted by George Municipality, is aimed at developing local athletics and promoting sports. The race falls within the approved SWD athletics calendar.
In 2016 the race was named after local athlete Elroy Gelant, from Pacaltsdorp, in honour of him becoming an Olympic athlete in that year. Locals and visitors alike are invited to bring the family and participate in the fun event.
Registration starts at 14:00 at the parking area of the traffic department in Mission Street, Pacaltsdorp. There will be no earlier registration process. The race starts at 18:00 at the traffic department.
The cost for the 8km race is R50 and for the 4km walk R30. The prize-giving starts at 19:30 at the traffic department.
