SCHOOL NEWS - Hoekwil Primary School celebrated a week of creativity and talent when it hosted its second eisteddfod in the school hall on Tuesday and Wednesday, 25 and 26 August.
Learners took to the stage with confidence and enthusiasm, making the school exceptionally proud with their performances.
A special thank you went to Tina Kruger, who generously gave her time to judge the performances and encourage the young artists.
Gala evening next
The celebration continues on Thursday 17 September, when the school hosts its gala evening, featuring the top eisteddfod performers in a special concert, themed ‘The Rhythm of Africa’.
The gala starts at 18:00 at the DR Church Die Vleie. Tickets are R50, or R80 per person if you would like to include a boerewors roll.
Learners’ artwork will also be available for R20 per piece.
Top achiever Finn Bean (Grade Four) received 90% ( A++) for his performance.
