SCHOOL NEWS - The Eden Meander Run on Saturday 24 October was hugely successful and raised R40 000 for Carpe Diem School.
The event was organised in partnership with the Nedbank George Running Club, and Comrades Marathon gold medallist Lloyd Bosman was the race ambassador.
Carpe Diem's principal, Elzeth Grobler, shared how much the event meant to the school and its learners. She said a fun run for which the community got together in support of the learners has been the Carpe Diem Trust's dream since 2025.
The trust thanked all the role players who made the event possible: Eden Meander Lifestyle Centre, the running club, Bosman, the volunteers, sponsors and supporters, as well as the George Traffic Department, Rotary George and the Vryburgers Omgeemense van George.
Grobler said the money is a welcome contribution towards supporting the school and its learners, and the event will be held again next year.
