GEORGE NEWS - The move to bigger and well-positioned premises was cause for celebration, said Seeff George principal Pieter Jordaan at an opening cocktail party held at Seeff's new branch offices at 53 York Street.
The move was strategic as the branch is growing rapidly and the staff had recently doubled to meet the demands in the current upturn in the property market.
This is the fifth year that the Jordaans have been licensees in George.
After toasting the opening of the new offices, the guests, bubbly in hand, enjoyed mingling and listening to guitarist Gaston Lehman.
The Seeff family work hard at achieving success and their combined skills are formidable. While Pieter makes the strategic decisions, it is his wife Rey who is in charge of sales staff and managing the administration. Their son, Pieter jr, is in charge of IT, while daughter Marili is the administrative force and in charge of rental management of the company.
The Seeff property staff celebrated the official opening of their stylish new offices at 53 York Street last Wednesday. Licensees Pieter and Rey Jordaan are in the centre, seated.
Daughter-in-law Tieneke is part of the sales team and assists all new staff members with system training. Each of the 16 staff members have found their niche and together they ensure that the growing customer base is served well.
Rey enjoys being in the property business. "While we find it exhilarating to have been in the property market for decades, it really has become a way of life."
