GEORGE POLITICAL NEWS - In an article in today's George Herald (4 April) on the Ward 18 by-election next Wednesday 10 April an unfortunate mistake slipped in. The photo captions of two of the candidates, Gert Niehaus of the ACDP and Adv. Gert van Niekerk, the candidate for the Freedom Front Plus, were swapped in the final layout process.
George Herald regrets this mistake.
Fortunately, these two politicians are very well known in George and surrounds; and almost every reader who picked up today's paper must have called George Herald to point out the mistake, as our phones never stopped ringing this morning.
