GEORGE NEWS - The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) outreach department in George hosted an information programme on 2 November for people from the Association with Physical Disabilities (APD).
The event was held at the Statistics South Africa premises at Bateleur Business Park and formed part of marking November as Disability Rights Awareness Month.
Topics discussed included democracy, the ballot paper and citizenship.
A voting station role play was also done.
The officials from the IEC's outreach department who ran the programme were the regional outreach and training officer, Nonkosi George, and two municipal outreach coordinators, Annelize Richards and Nelia Klass.
