Update
GEORGE NEWS - A much talked about Council Meeting at George Municipality, which was set to take place this morning 27 February, has been postponed.
Two motions of no confidence have been submitted by the ANC – one against the Speaker Gerrit Pretorius, and the other against the Deputy Mayor Charlotte Clarke.
With four DA councillors scrapped from the caucus, much debate took place behind the scenes on the possible outcome of these items.
Feedback is being awaited on the reason why today’s meeting has been postponed, and the next date for the meeting.
