NATIONAL NEWS - According to founder of Eblockwatch Andre Snyman, a mother had just helped her daughter to get into the car when she was approached by two perpetrators who demanded that she give them the keys to her car.
Snyman said the mother fought back and one of the suspects shot her in the leg. Her husband then allegedly ran out of the house to see what had happened and a suspect shot him in the arm.
Snyman said he put the message out on the Eblockwatch Street Talker Whatsapp Group and there was a swift response from doctors, paramedics and police who arrived at the scene to offer assistance.
He said the two victims were stabilised on the scene and transported to Sunninghill Hospital for further treatment. Their daughter is being looked after by a neighbour.
Snyman said the perpetrators got away.
