NATIONAL NEWS - Hlaudi Motsoeneng’s lawyer that says the former South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) COO has never asked for a golden handshake from the public broadcaster.
Motsoeneng’s unfair dismissal case is now headed for arbitration after he and the SABC failed to reach an agreement at the CCMA on Tuesday.
He’s fighting his dismissal after a disciplinary committee found him guilty of contravening the corporation's code of conduct by holding a press conference while he was on suspension.
The former SABC executive was also found to have been appointed unlawfully and irrationally by the Western Cape High Court.
He had lied about having a matric certificate.
His lawyer Zola Majavu says that Motsoeneng never asked for a golden handshake at the CCMA.
