Hawks boss Berning Ntlemeza is briefing Parliament's portfolio committee on police about the unit's successes, among other issues.
He's also told the committee 213 convictions have been secured.
Ntlemeza revealed that 1,100 people have been arrested in connection with organised crime since April.
He says they've also taken down 19 drug-manufacturing labs over the same period.
“In one of those labs our member, a warrant officer from Johannesburg, was also arrested. He had a house where he was producing drugs.”
