Police are investigating the incident after a man was allegedly set alight in Viljoen Street on 20 March at around 5pm.
“The complainant alleges that upon his arrival home, he found his father in extreme pain after he sustained burn wounds on his body. It is believed the victim was attacked by his girlfriend, who poured petrol on him and set him alight,” Krugersdorp Police spokesperson, Sergeant Tshepiso Mashale confirmed.
The complainant then rushed his father to hospital in a serious condition.
