Fransman's sexual assault accuser speaks out

NATIONAL NEWS - The woman who accused suspended Western Cape African National Congress (ANC) leader Marius Fransman of sexual harassment says she will consider taking further legal steps against him.

Charges against Fransman have been withdrawn.

The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has opted not to proceed with the matter due to a lack of evidence.

Louisa Wynand says she's considering her options.

“I actually hope that I get as far as going to court, since that didn’t happen. It’s changed my view of the justice system in our country. I hope that there’ll be change for other women. This must be a terrible example for them to see and must make them feel even more scared to speak up.”
