NATIONAL NEWS - A second software giant has been implicated in the Guptaleaks emails, with new information showing that it entered into questionable kickback agreements with companies linked to the Guptas.
AmaBunghane, Scorpio and News24 have on Tuesday revealed how Software AG entered into a deal with a Gupta-controlled company to clinch a R180 million Transnet freight rail contract.
Earlier this month, it emerged that SAP entered into a similar agreement with the Guptas in order to secure a R100 million from Transnet.
Software AG is one of Europe's largest software companies, generating R13 billion in global revenue last year.
According to documents in the Gupta leaks, Germany-based Software AG agreed to pay 35% of the value of the contracts secured with Transnet to Global Softech Solutions.
