NATIONAL NEWS - A woman has been arrested after being found in possession of an undisclosed amount of drugs at OR Tambo International Airport.
She was intercepted shortly after arriving from Sao Paulo on Tuesday.
Authorities say the woman showed signs of discomfort while being interviewed at customs and was taken to hospital where x-rays revealed foreign objects in the form of bullets in her stomach.
The police’s Vish Naidoo said: “These items were recovered and sent for forensic analysis. And we believe this to be cocaine, but we’re still waiting for the results.”
